Safety Phrases

S26 In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

S22 Do not breathe dust.

4.3 Spills and Disposal

Spills

Clean up personnel should wear suitable protective clothing including respiratory protection. Avoid scattering and accumulation of dust. Do not allow to mix with oxidising compounds such as peroxides, permanganates, HNO3, perchloric acid and basic substances.

Collect the spilled product in suitable containers without raising dust and with adequate mechanical means. Send to authorised disposal plant. Wash the contaminated area with plenty of water.

Disposal

Reuse if possible. Dispose in accordance with all local state and federal regulations. Dispose of by thermal destruction in authorized plants.

4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD

Fire / Explosion

Stable compound under normal handling conditions. However, notice that powders mixed with air may lead to fire and explosions in case of exposure to heat or flames. Avoid contact with oxidising compounds (peroxides, permanganates, nitric acid, perchloric acid). Hazardous decomposition products include carbon dioxide and benzene by thermal decomposition. Sprinkle with water containers that are exposed to fire.

Extinguishing Media

Firefighters should wear full protective clothing including self contained breathing apparatus. Use water sprinkling, foam, dry chemicals, carbon dioxide as extinguishing media.
